Field Technician
We are looking for the right personality with the right skills to work in our small company with a family atmosphere. The candidate must be self motivated and able to operate with little or no supervision. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills and be customer service oriented. Qualified candidate should have 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
Our office is located at 290 & Jones Road. We manage all of our clients IT needs from LAN/WAN Administration, Desktop and Server Support, Network communications, Special Projects, Consulting, etc. The candidate will be expected to maintain all of his or her accounts by phone, remote, and onsite support. (Clients are all in Houston area).
Technical skillset
Incumbent should have extensive experience in the following areas:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2000
- Microsoft SBS 2003/2000
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft SQL/MSDE
- Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003/2007
- Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
- Wireless Technologies
- Virtual Private Networks
- WAN Administration
- MS Office and relative desktop applications
- Network Implementation and Administration Routers/FW's
- Great Plains experience a plus
Outgoing, friendly, customer service driven individual is a MUST, as well as willingness to work outside of "normal" business hours when client needs require it. Qualified individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to multitask.
